After you have selected an object via the search icon, the targeting icon becomes highlighted. By selecting the targeting icon, directional arrow(s) appear in the field of view allowing you to position the phone on the celestial object. Once the celestial object appears in the field of view as can be seen by pulsing cross hairs, the directional arrow(s) disappear.
