At the top of the page are 4 icons. Left to right: Targeting, Camera, Search and Settings.
Settings Mode:
This icon when selected allows you to change how the star field is rendered on your phone.
Search Mode:
This icon when selected allows you to search for a celestial object. Enter a StarNamer star registration number such as "SAO 53589". Or enter a Legacy star name such as "Polaris" or "Sirius". Or enter a numerical location pair consisting of a Right Ascension and a Declination separated by a comma. Three different location formats are supported. nnn.nnnn, nn.nnnn or nn:nn, nn:nn or nn:nn:nn, nn:nn:nn.
Camera Mode:
This icon when selected allows you to enter camera mode.
Targeting Mode:
This icon when selected allows you to enter targeting mode. What this is is an easy way for you to find the celestial object you have searched for previously. After you have selected an object via the search icon, the targeting icon becomes highlighted. By selecting the targeting icon, directional arrow(s) appear in the field of view allowing you to position the phone on the celestial object. Once the celestial object appears in the field of view as can be seen by pulsing cross hairs, the directional arrow(s) disappear.
